Pasadena, Calif., Sept., 2011—Chapman has been named 2011’s Best Independent Insurance Agency to Work for in the United States. This top honor is based on findings from the Insurance Journal’s Best Independent Insurance Agency to Work for Survey conducted this past summer.

Nominations came from employees of hundreds of independent agencies around the nation. Survey results were based on employee evaluations, feedback and commentary. Independent agencies of all sizes and from all regions were included in the competition. The survey consisted of 20 multiple part, in-depth questions about the working environment, employee benefits, work satisfaction, and evaluation of owners and immediate bosses.

Employees from winning agencies cited high personal job satisfaction, exceptional employee benefits and working conditions, and opportunities for community involvement as important factors that set their agency ahead of others. According to Insurance Journal, showcasing examples of agencies with these important characteristics provides encouragement to all agency managers to consider ways to foster employee loyalty and satisfaction.
