High Deductible Plan
Chapman can offer your organization a large deductible program from one of California's leading insurers. A high deductible can often offer lower costs, broader coverage and more control to custom design plan benefits.

In a high deductible program, the employer self funds (pays) for claims under the deductible. Insurers pay claims after the deductible. Employees will get a "normal" plan including office visit co-pays, Rx co-pays and co-insurance. A third party serves as the Service Center for claims, utilization reporting, questions, etc.

High deductible programs are cost effective because premiums are reduced by not paying for benefits which are not used. In addition, these plans offer greater flexibility and choice. You design your own plan benefits (deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance). Your employees will also have access to the larger, more expansive PPO networks. Further utilization reports are provided to identify trends and provide input to possible benefit changes.
